Jhoselyn Escobar:  Teacher and plant spirit lover,  Jhoselyn returned to Ecuador after a decade abroad where she worked with non-profit organizations. Her work with rural and indigenous communities was what brought Jhoselyn back to Ecuador. Always inclined to rural living, mountains, forest, farms feels like home. It was the Tsáchilas who introduced her to the first cacao plant in all its stages, since then she has worked with  agricultural projects, being able to learn the importance of connection of earth to cosmos. She works as a Kaula Tantra Yoga teacher, supporting meditations,  and other diverse  classes in addition to managing the space of Durga’s Tiger School in Ecuador.

Javier Bone : Javier is the head administrator of Durga's Tiger Land. He was born and raised in the community and is an expert navigator of this coastal jungle. He is in charge of the cacao plantation.

Andrea Aara: Andrea is a loving mother to her kids and all the plants she takes care of. A beautiful mix of intellectual knowledge as she studied agriculture and experience based learning. She and her family live across the river in a little hut on the top of the mountain.

Flor Nazareno: Flor is part of one of the biggest families in Rio Verde, she is the heart, the pillar of her family. She is the one who shared with the community how to craft the Ceremonial Cacao Paste. Flor also is the head of the kitchen, providing nourishing food to the people in the community.
